Yeah we are all planning on getting calling cards as soon as we get to the airport. We leave the ccm at 4pm on monday. Plane leaves at like 830 so we should have time to call at the mexican airport. And we have an 8 hour flight to santiago, a 3 hour layover at santiago then to concepcion. Total of like 10 hours of flight. Its gunna be great. The ipad thing sounds rough. (read that as sarcastic as possible) Maybe you would do better if you had a typewriter or something more your age bracket. Do they sell stone and chisel at staples? Just kidding i love you, your beautiful. Work sounds super rough. 

It is true. I have prayed more on my mission in these 6 weeks than i think i have my entire life beforehand. Shoes were in there don’t worry. I visually examined them. 

So this week was pretty good really. Not a whole lot of stuff going down. I’ve been struggling with keep going because it seems like everyone is progressing so much faster than me. Its been pretty hard. But in a live broadcast from the Provo mtc Elder Scott said a quote i liked. The lord will fit the task to your abilities. I just need to keep trying and like everything else in life the lord will make up the difference. There is a story i like ill share. So a little girl really wanted a new bike and so she asked her dad if she could have it. But the dad saw that it was 100 dollars (lets just go with that price.) and knew he couldnt afford it. So he told her to save up all her pennies and maybe she could have enough to buy the bike. So she saves and saves and saves and after a while she comes to her dad and says Dad i saved all my money for a long time and i think i finally have enough. So her dad counts it out and sees she has 63 cents. But seeing how hard she worked and saved for that bike he kneels down and tell her if you give me all your money, a hug and a kiss, the bike is yours. Thats kind of what we are like. We can try as hard as we want but no matter we do we will never match up. We will always fall short of the glory of God. But if we are doing our best and saving our pennies, the Lord will make up the rest of it. Really like that. 

So monday was the mexican independence day. September 15th. If anyone says that cinco de mayo is a big deal tell them they are wrong, only one city in mexico celebrates that apparently. My teacher told us its super dumb when people in the states make a big deal of it. But anywho so we had a big performance for us in the Gordon B hinckley building. It was cool lots of dancing. The pictures are blurry sorry they move fast. But Ma would love the dresses they were super ornate. Pretty cool. Then everyone sang the mexican national anthem, and did the viva mexico thing. It was different. They wave the mexican flag around during. You would never do that with the USA flag. At least you shouldnt. But yeah. So afterwards Mexico city is crazy that night. Our district climb up on a casa´s roof and watch and talk and have a good time. Parkin has 2 bottles of apple cider so he brought one of them up to the roof and we popped it and all got some and messed around. It was super fun. Definitely the best experience so far of the ccm. Not spiritual at all but it was awesome. That was the other thing i was struggling with was not really fitting in with any of my district. But that helped so much. And since then we have been getting closer. Im really gunna miss these guys when we get to the field. But im so ready and excited to go. Last couple days are gunna be long but worth it. Happy. Very happy.

Seriously how am i this bad at emailing?

So sunday we had a devotional by President Tenorio who is the 1st counselor to Presidente Pratt here at the ccm. He had a super awesome quote. He said that you could be a king, a queen, a czar or an emperor and you would still be a pygmy of what you could be in this church. Thought that was cool. The church is so true and powerful. It is the lords church. Nothing else could manifest itself in such a way and do as much as we do. Satan has power there is no denying it. But not enough for something this great to come from. Thats how i know it is true. Well that and other stuff. 

So cool experience i was sitting in the enfermeria waiting for watkins to finish talking to Presidente Gill and there were some greenies in there and the secretary started talking to them and getting them to try and share like the  first vision and stuff. And i was totally able to help them and teach them about stuff. Made me feel pretty good about myself. Then I’ll go into the field and know absolutely nothing. But yeah for the time being we are the kings of the world here. Oldest district and such. Booyah. 

So yeah. I cant think of much else. expect a call at like 530-7ish my time. I figure if i can ill call one parent from mexico and one from chile. But we will see how everything goes down. 

1oh this is also my favorite part. So cual is what for facts. cual es su nombre is what is your name. Como is how. ( I asked him Cual es su espanol coming along?) But its progressing. slowly at times. But its coming. 

2Holding up pretty good yeah. Like im alive and such. Wish i could figure everything out in like 10 seconds. Or even a minute. It would be nice to only have to worry about gospel stuff. 

3 Is sleep ever a problem for me? Yeah getting plenty. My biggest problem is the morning is getting my comp out of bed. I get up at like 6, shower and study. then at like 640 watkins and i pull stevenson out of bed and he showers. Then Langeveld rolls out and is done by like 710. We are supposed to be at breakfast at 7. So thats frustrating. I have tried showering at night to try and get things rolling but it doesnt work. Thats our biggest companionship problem is timing. He views the schedules as like hey if you could be here that would be great. But if not no big deal. Or if you find something better to do do that. I see it as hey we have been asked to be here at this time lets be there 5 minutes early so we can be ready and start on time. It only took us 5 and a half weeks to figure it out though! Ha we are much better now though. 

4 eating is kind of maso menos here. We eat the food. Enjoying food is kind of something we dream about. But the pastes pollo when we have those are so good. I love those. Tuesdays are pizza night and the worst night of the week. Im not a big pizza guy anway but its so greasy and really just not that good here. But you eat and say gracias to the servers because its what you do. Fresh rolls still make my day though. 

Im glad yall are doing well. I have been told i may or may not have time to email monday so we will see.
